FROM USA TO SOUTH AMERICA!!!!

MIAMI CITY, FLORIDA USA

Day 248

What a day!

We spent the morning enjoying our accomodation at Miami Beach...walking along the boardwalk...seeing the sights..and just relaxing...

AND THEN...

We spent the afternoon tieing up loose ends before we head off...

IE getting the last of our post sent (Sorry mum..another one of our travel stuffs to fill your spare room..promise it will be the second last!) and getting our shopping done...and no, didn't end up getting any shoes..so the ones i have will have to do!!!

They're so comfortable anyway...

And..the most important thing..more malaria tablets! WHAT A SAGA!

ANd no kidding...once we finally were able to find a doctor that prescribed Malaria tablets and a chemist that stocked them (doctor's and pharmacies here dont´seem to know about it! Is that because American´s don´t travel??) and poor Greg battled all the Miami traffic (this place is huge!) ..and got checked by the doc..his blood pressure was out of control! Literally....She put him on blood pressure tablets..to take on the plane and in the morning..it was such a high state!

No wonder! After the last week driving on the left hand side..and having a tyre blow out on the 7 mile bridge...and travelling so far in just a few days and then to find we were a day ahead (thought we were going to SA last night instead of tonight!!!!) and then...there were the rides at Disney World!!!

No wonder he was really was HOT under the collar!

Which does have me very worried. But i'm not stressing yet (he's done enough of that!).. We'll see how these 2 little blood pressure tabs go!

And probably, he'll be able to relax a bit more in South America where at least 3 of the 8 weeks are pretty organised, so it should be stress free - apart from the trekking in Machu Piccu!!!

We both will be able to relax! Although i'm worried my shoes won't hold up, that i won't have the right clothes..won't be able to go the distance..blah blah blah..

Anyway! We did finally get our 6 weeks worth of Malaria Tablets (the one's from Perth got too hot and weathered over the last 8 months and we used up most of them in Africa when we extended our trip there..!)

So..here we are..waiting for our shuttle to go to the airport...

In the morning we'll be in Chile! South America! For the next leg of this incredible world adventure of ours!

Can't wait to see what it's like there!

See you there...

PS The malaria tabs we've been taking for the last week are still making me queasy....horrible stuff!
