Day 252
Now that we´ve spent more time in Lima..mainly where we´re staying in Miraflores, we´ve learned more about Francisco Pizarro!
We´ve learned that the Inca indians had been in Peru since 1200 and had created a vast empire. In 1532, a Spaniard named Francesco Pizarro came to Peru with his conquistadores and conquered the indians.
There seems to be only two classes in Peru..the very wealthy Spaniards and the very poor indians..and we´ve met and talked with both and so far, both have been friendly..we bought some purses and bottle holders from the indians which are SO nice!
The beachfront is gorgeous..and we spent a lot of time just mooching around there enjoying it...weird beach tho..dark grey alluvial rubble and stones, but it´s been great to be near water!
Miraflores beachfront!
We´re staying in Miraflores and this frontage is just down the road..so beautiful! If I could stay here again, in a more luxurious way, i´d stay at the Raddison that is overlooking the beachfront!

The shopping around Miraflores is quite spectacular....very touristy, but it has everything!
Check out the inside of the Miraflores Beach front shopping mall, below!

Lima is a special place that´s for sure.
